M.Eng. Student, Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute, Department of Mechanical, Aerospace and Nuclear Engineering.
Composite materials, satellites, structural analysis, space structures
Their current research interest includes studying the use of composite materials in CubeSat and other microsatellites. Previously, they have worked on active sensing acousto-ultrasound Structural Health Monitoring (SHM) on complex structural components.
Jasper Mendiola is a M.Eng. student at Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute (RPI) in the department of Mechanical, Aerospace, and Nuclear Engineering (MANE). They are affiliated with the Intelligent Structural Systems Laboratory (ISSL) and their current work is focused on the use of composite materials on CubeSat structures to optimize the structural mass ratio. They hold a B.S. in Aeronautical Engineering also from RPI.
