Bio

George Rizos is a current graduate student at Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute pursuing a Master of Engineering in Aeronautical Engineering. He recently received his undergraduate diploma from RPI in both Mechanical Engineering and Design, Innovation, and Society, alongside a minor in Graphic Design. George’s current masters project lies at the intersection between Aerodynamics and Racecar Vehicle Dynamics, with considerations to the stability of racing vehicles that employ underbody aerodynamics. During his time at the undergraduate level, George secured internships in composites engineering at XCA Composites as well as in the racing world with NASCAR team Stewart-Haas Racing as an Aero Engineer. On the side, George is a photographer for RPI Women’s Hockey and RPI Athletics, as well as a race engineer & mechanic for multiple grassroots racing teams in series like WRL, AER, and ChampCar.
