Analysis of arbitrary stress state effect on ultrasonic guided wave applied to structural health monitoring
Research Expertise & Interests

His principal research interests are Signal Processing, Instrumentation, Ultrasonic Wave Propagation, Structural Health Monitoring and Non-Destructive Evaluation, mainly acting on the following subjects: design and optimization of electromagnetic acoustic transducers, interaction of guided waves with discontinuities and acoustoelastic guided waves.

Bio

Dr Kubrusly is an assistant professor at the Department of Electrical Engineering at the Pontifical Catholic University of Rio de Janeiro (PUC-Rio), Brazil and is currently a visiting scholar at the Intelligent Structural Systems Lab (ISSL), Department of Mechanical, Aerospace, and Nuclear Engineering at Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute, US. He received a PhD in Mechanical Engineering from the Pontifical Catholic University of Rio de Janeiro. After completing his PhD in 2016, he served as a Postdoctoral Researcher in the Ultrasonics Group at the University of Warwick, UK.
