PhD student, Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute, Department of Mechanical, Aerospace and Nuclear Engineering.
Structural Health Monitoring, Stochastic Signals and Systems, Non-stationary Time Series Modeling
His current research interest includes uncertainty quantification of Lamb wave propagation through solid structures due to environmental and external influences. Previously he has worked on fracture and surface properties of flax fibers and bio-composite materials.
Mr. Ahmed is a PhD student at Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute in the department of Mechanical, Aerospace and Nuclear (MANE) engineering. He is affiliated with Intelligent Structural Systems Laboratory (ISSL) where his current work is focused on uncertainty quantification of the active sensing guided wave based structural health monitoring by using advanced statistical and probabilistic techniques. He holds an MS degree from North Dakota State University (NDSU) and a BS from Bangladesh University of Engineering and Technology (BUET) all in Mechanical Engineering.
